Doraemon

”Doraemon is a Japanese manga series created by Fujiko F. Fujio. The series is about a robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from 22nd century to aid a schoolboy, Nobita. Doraemon has a pocket from which he produces many gadgets, medicines and tools from the future. Although he can hear perfectly well, Doraemon has no ears: his robotic ears were eaten by a mouse giving him a series -long phobia of mice!”(Wikipedia)

Doraemon was first published on manga in 1969-1992, the anime started in 1974 and it’s still ongoing. I personally like Doraemon, and I was glad to know that Japan’s Foreign Ministry appointed Doraemon as the nation’s first Anime Ambassador :D

“A Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) is a hybrid vehicle that combines a conventional internal combustion engine propulsion system with an electric propulsion system. The presence of the electric powertrain is intended to achieve better fuel economy than a conventional vehicle. A hybrid electric vehicle is also a form of electric vehicle; a variety of types of HEV exist, and the degree to which they function as EVs varies as well. The most common form of HEV is the hybrid electric car, an automated driven by a gsoline internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric motors power by batteries.”

Well, HEV is kinda an old concept, it was successfully introduced in the 1990′s when Honda introduced Insight and Toyota introduced Prius. Now researches and vehicles manufacturers are seriously working on manufacturing a gas-free vehicle that only consumes electricity. In fact, they’ve already manufactured some, such as Nissan Pivo, but there’s a dilemma with the battery consumption which takes ages to charge and few hours to discharge!! Their efforts in manufacturing environmental friendly vehicles is highly appreciated and required, we’ll be waiting!

“Captain Tsubasa is a popular Japanese manga, anime and video game series, originally created by Yoichi Takahashi in 1981. The series mainly revovles around the sport of Football.

The story focuses on the adventures of a Japanese youth fotball team and its captain Tsubasa Oozora, whose name literally translates to (Big Sky Wings). The series is characterized by dynamic football moves, often stylish.

The Captain Tsubasa manga series was originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga magazine between 1981 and 1988″

I’ve first watched the Captain Tsubasa (الكابتن ماجد) series in 1990, when I was in Saudia Arabia during the Gulf  War. Whatever volume I buy or whenever I watch it at other’s houses it has always been the episode of Captain Majed and Mazen rainy match, LOL. In 2003 in Tokyo I was lucky to find the Shonen Jump weekly volume of the 1983 edition with a chapter of Captain Tsubasa!! that was very original and joyful to read watch! lol.  A friend of mine was lucky to find Captain Tsubasa’s video game as a MEGA-CD when we were there as it wasn’t released in Kuwait due to the unpopular SEGA MEGA-CD console, he never had that console though!! lol. Later, the ROM was found online. Yureshi!

 odaiba_night

“Odaiba is a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay, Japan, across the Rainbow Bridge from central Tokyo. It was initially built for defensive purposes in the 1850′s, dramatically expanded during the late 20th century as a seaport district, and has developed since the 1990′s as a major commercial, residential and leisure area.

Two Shuto Expressway lines access Odaiba: Route 11 enters from central Tokyo crossing the Rainbow Bridge, while the Wangan route enters from Shinagawa Ward through the Tokyo Port Tunnel and from the bayfront areas of Tokyo and Chiba perfecture to the east.”

I’ve been to Odaiba once and I really liked it from the first visit. The scenery there was amazing especially at night. I had the chance to ride on the Rainbow Bridge by car, I wasn’t driving but at least I was on the front seat hehehe!! Insha’Allah next time I’ll visit Odaiba riding the  automated Yurikamome transit system from Shimbashi or Toyosu!

grendizer arabic manga

It has been well known that since ages we’ve been reading arabic comics on magazines and kids graphical books. But here I’m posting an old issue of Grendizer’s manga ( Arabic Edition) which was finely printed and issued. Why do I call it manga and not a comic or a kids graphical book?! It’s due to its Japanese origin, plot, storyline and theme!! Only if it’s smaller in size and larger in thickness it would perfectly fit in between my collection of Japanese Manga, heheheh!! Wish to see more of this work and if anyone got Captain Tsubasa (Captain Majed) Arabic Manga, the one released in early 90′s, I will be pleased if I could buy it from him/her. Any offers?! I guess we’re starting a business over this post, LOL :P
