Tampopo (タンポポ, Tanpopo, literally "dandelion") is a 1985 Japanese comedy film。Tampopo, a widowed noodle (ramen) chef, is helped to become a first-class chef by truck driver Goro and friends。The group later agrees to change the restaurant's name from "Lai Lai" to "Tampopo"。 I have first watched this film 10 years ago in a Japanese literature class at the Ohio State University . . they show films every Friday . . the American professor married to a Japanese woman allowed me to attend the class for auditing and for “watching the weekly classic Japanese films”。
