“Tokyo is one of the candidate cities to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, besides Chicago, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro.  Tokyo previously hosted the Olympic Games in 1964, becoming the first city outside Europe and the USA to host the event. Yesterday while watching NHK, I had the chance to watch a documentary program about Morioka City in Japan.  Morioka is the capital city of Iwate perfecture in Japan. It’s located on the north-east side of  Honshu.  Morioka has an estimated population of 300,740. The total area is 489.15 km2.
